RENEWABLE AND
SUSTAINABLE

FLOATING WIND, WAVE, AND TIDAL

Our experienced Project Management, Engineering Design, and Construction and Procurement teams are involved from the initial conceptual development, permitting, and license application milestones, and support clients through the complete project life-cycle to construction and assembly. With knowledge of all types of floating structures and mooring systems as both designer and EPC supplier, we are able to offer Developers with technical and commercial expertise. Our Naval Architects are BOSIET qualified, and continue to support the Developer during the offshore installation and commissioning, and offshore inspection and maintenance.

LMC business model within the renewable and sustainable sector is three-fold:

  1. Engineering Design for Floating Wind, Wave, and Tidal Platform Systems
  2. Owners Engineer to support Project Developers
  3. EPC Supply of Mooring Systems and Floating Structures

Engineering Designer for floating wind, wave, and tidal platform systems

LMC have supported several wave, wind, and tidal platform developments from design inception to detailed design and approval for construction.

With an in-depth knowledge of fabrication and assembly of large offshore structures, coupled with a full understanding of certification body codes and industry standards, LMC are able to design the complete floating platform including mooring system, dynamic power cable system, electrical, marine, condition monitoring and control systems. Our expertise lies in bespoke floating platforms where complex coupled aero-hydro-servo-elastic modelling is required to assess the entire platform structure, tower(s), mooring, and power cable, and ensure that the design meets seakeeping, stationkeeping, modal frequency requirements, and structural integrity.

Our expertise lies in bespoke

floating platforms.

LMC has track record for the design of Barge, Tension Leg Platform (TLP), and Semi-submersible designs for floating wind, single turbine and multi-turbine systems, Floating Wave Devices, and Floating Tidal Devices.
